


Then, once the networks started feeling the pressure, they started to shun Hulu more and more until there were some shows that you couldn't watch unless you subscribed to one of the big 3 networks overpriced streaming services that were a vain attempt to maintain the old order. There were a few good shows that we wanted to watch, but they were usually on Hulu, so it wasn't a big deal. We honestly didn't miss anything and it was almost like our lives became lighter once we weren't tied to some antiquated idea of "primetime network TV". Without a DVR, we would have to slog through commercials, and we'd become accustomed to binging things without pause. We cut the cord a long time ago and we stopped watching anything broadcast because, without cable, we didn't have access to DVR things.
