Baking Soda ( Sodium Bicarbonate )- Formulaīaking soda is known as Sodium Bicarbonate with the formula NaHCO3. It is found dissolved in many mineral springs and is a component of the mineral natron. It tastes salty and alkaline which is similar to washing soda (Sodium Carbonate). Sodium bicarbonate is white in color and is a crystalline substance that is commonly found as a fine powder. This salt is formed by a sodium cation (Na+) and a bicarbonate anion (HCO3). Baking soda is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. Sodium Bicarbonate is known as baking soda or Bicarbonate soda.
